Concave Fiberglass Grating Frp

Share

Molded GRP grating offers excellent compressive and tensile strength and is designed to withstand the harshest industrial and commercial environments. They require little maintenance, and the product's relatively light weight makes shipping, handling and installation much easier than metal gratings.

Concave frp Grating

Concave fiberglass grating is just a standard grating panel without the added frosted surface finish. The concave effect is created during the curing process, when the top surface naturally shrinks and is sunken in the middle but protruding at the edges. This material offers excellent slip resistance but is easier to keep clean, so it is most often used in the food industry where hygiene is critical and workers need to protect themselves from slips and falls due to water or oil spills. Most fiberglass gratings have a non-slip surface to help prevent slips and falls.

Molding Concave Fiberglass Grating Process

Manufactured through a molding process, the combination of fiberglass rovings and thermoset resin creates an extremely strong one-piece open mesh panel. These two complementary materials give GRP grating excellent compressive and tensile strength. Gratings are designed to withstand the rigors of industrial and commercial environments and require little to no maintenance.

Concave Fiberglass Grating

Concave Fiberglass Grating Resin types suitable for indoor or outdoor use offer proven resistance to chemical and UV degradation as well as flame retardant properties.

Once released from the mold, the panel mesh support bars naturally have concave surfaces that provide a degree of slip resistance. This can be further enhanced with an optional frosted or overlay and frosted top surface.

Concave frp Grating

The product is relatively lightweight and easier to transport, handle and install than metal gratings. Panels can be cut to size before being shipped to site for immediate installation, or cut on site using diamond tip tools and resealed with an approved resin topcoat.
